Shopping Centres
An opportunity to entertain your shoppers through Interactive Pool Exhibitions, and attracting potential new male customers
While our primary aim is to see charities benefit, at the same time we would like to see those who help charities benefit too. In Shopping Centre's cases it would be through organising for the world's top professional pool players to do a pool exhibition at your centre.
Our aim for this event would be to provide interactive entertainment for the shoppers by offering them the opportunity to play a world star in return for making a donation to charity. We will also be performing trick shots and inviting the audience to have a go!
This kind of event is guaranteed to be a success because of the following facts:
- Pool is the third most popular sport in the UK, behind football and fishing.
- Statistics show that 80% of the population have played pool on a basis ranging from occasionally to the dedicated.
- Pool is an interactive game.
- It is also a great spectator sport.
- Other options include hosting a raffle for several prizes, of which could be items donated from your centre's shops in order to promote their business from within.
Our chosen charity at present is Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. This charity is close to our hearts because of the tremendous difference they made when they gave our director total independence by supplying him with a fully-trained Hearing Dog.
Quoted from Hearing Dog's website;
"Nearly nine million of the UK population experience some degree of hearing loss. That's one person in every seven. Over 650,000 of these people are severely or profoundly deaf and could benefit from a hearing dog.
Hearing dogs change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security. Most are selected from rescue centres or donated as unwanted pets.
We rely totally on the generosity of individuals and organisations to continue transforming the lives of deaf people and unwanted puppies."
Equipment & Setup:
We would provide all the equipment and set up before opening hours and dismantle after closing hours to avoid disruptions. Our equipment includes pool tables, pop-ups, banners and leaflets.
Liability Insurance:
We have liability insurance of £5m so everything is covered in the event of an unlikely accident.
The Benefits:
- Exposure for the shopping centre
- The event will encourage the men who are not keen shoppers to come and participate as well as the women who are always up for a challenge, especially where charities benefit.
- Tombola & Raffle can be an additional opportunity for the shoppers to win prizes.
- Advertising your events on our website and the charities websites as well as through the media.
- A local Hearing Dogs recipient could be present at the event so people can see the benefit and impact it has on them.
- It is a different and welcome approach from the usual standard charity fundraising.
Media Coverage:
We are confident that for each and every event we do, we will get at least one of the three major media sources involved.
Layout:
You can download the plans for different possible layouts - bear in mind that they are flexible, and the sizes can be changed. A pool table is only 7' by 4'!!!
Costs/Money Raised:
It costs the shopping centre nothing! Once the money has been raised at the event, the proceedings will be sent directly to Hearing Dogs.
